Information Regarding Reasonable Accommodations
The Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination on the basis of a disability. Under the ADA, a qualified individual with a disability who can perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation is protected from discrimination due to his or her disability. Employees related to or associated with a person with a disability are also protected from discrimination.
To ensure that all requests for reasonable accommodations are given full consideration, supervisors, hiring managers, selection committees, etc. many not grant or deny an accommodation pursuant to the ADA without consultation with the Office of Human Resources, which is responsible for ensuring compliance with the ADA.
The Chief HR Officer is the individual designated by the University to coordinate its efforts to comply with Title IX, Section 504 and other equal opportunity and affirmative action regulations and laws.

If you have accepted any position at AUM, there are key pieces of documentation that are needed to complete the hiring process. Be sure to review the list of acceptable documents. We must physically verify the original of each document provided and we must obtain a copy of those required documents.
Employees must complete Form I-9 to document verification of their identity and employment authorization. For international employees, you must provide your passport and Form I-20 documentation to begin your paperwork process.
All full-time AUM employees may enroll in various benefits administered through Auburn University Payroll and Employee Benefits. Please note that some benefits may vary according to the type of position.
