At Auburn Montgomery, "our standard is excellence" isn't just our slogan. It's our mission.

All five of our colleges - Business, Education, Arts and Sciences, Nursing and Health Sciences, and Public Policy and Justice - are academically challenging, providing a level of rigor and quality that you would expect in a private college.

As a result, our schools are among the top performers in the state in their respective fields.

We offer the unique combination of a large university scope while still keeping the small school feel that keeps our students coming back. We offer bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees as well as programs of study in more than 90 areas. Plus, our classes are offered days, nights, weekends, and online. But we've worked hard to keep our classes small to ensure that students receive personal attention. That's why we keep our student-faculty ratio at 16:1. It's what works best for our students.

But we're not resting on our laurels. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools recently renewed our accreditation. As part of that work, we have developed a program we call Writing Across the Curriculum. The program is built on the knowledge that written communication skills are - and will continue to be - critical for our students' success at the academic and work levels.

Thus, we have renewed our commitment to teaching writing skills in virtually all our classes. In the coming year, we will work to add the teaching of writing as well as the expectation of writing in all our classes. It's all part of our commitment to academic excellence.
