AUM's Exercise Science programs have been noted as an Educationally Recognized Program by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Considered the world leader in delivering scientific, peer-reviewed research regarding strength and conditioning, the NSCA's goal is to bridge the gap between science and application.
In order to receive the NSCA-ERP designation, the Exercise Science curriculum underwent an extensive review, much like an accreditation process. Both the undergraduate and graduate programs received the ERP distinction. The Department of Physical Education and Exercise Science prepares students for careers in school-based physical education, as well as careers and/or graduate study in physical therapy, health promotion, sport management, and sport and fitness conditioning.
