Auburn Montgomery graphic design and marketing students had a strong showing at the American Advertising Federation Montgomery ADDY awards gala on Saturday, Feb. 25. Shannon Conner, a senior from Montgomery, received the Student Designer of the Year award, which includes a $500 scholarship. The student Judge’s Choice award went to Matthew Crumpton for his unique packaging design. Joshua Speer earned the Mosaic award for highlighting diversity. All in all, AUM students took home 19 awards.

AAF-Montgomery holds this annual competition among the area's best advertising professionals and students as part of a three-tiered national event. Winners of the Gold ADDY Award will be forwarded to district competition, and all winners at the district level will advance to the national competition.
AUM alumna Robin Birdwell, who took home the top student award last year, also won a professional Gold ADDY this year for a project with Studio Elle designs. Congratulations to all of the winners!
