The Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs helps foster an environment that celebrates diversity in its broadest forms. To accomplish this, the office collaborates closely with all segments of the Auburn Montgomery campus, helping Academic Affairs further diversify the curriculum, helping Student Life expand students’ understanding of differences and helping campus leadership fulfill the diversity and strategic plans.

Furthermore, it situates the campus as an exceptional learning community and a place of possibilities where the talents, ideas and experiences of diverse individuals advance the shared goal of success.
Core Diversity Goals
The Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs collaborates with the Auburn Montgomery community to achieve the following goals:
Develop, implement and monitor programs that foster a campus-culture of inclusion and respect.
- Conduct systematic evaluations of the campus climate, program effectiveness and campus statistics and recommend new programs or modifications to existing programs based on evaluation results.
- Attract, recruit and retain a diverse faculty and staff of highly qualified individuals.
- Develop support systems and programs for under-represented faculty, staff and students.
Explore new and strengthen existing partnerships with regional communities and industries to enhance diversity within and beyond the university.
