Concepts of Interior Decorating
Certificate Program
This certificate program offers basic classes intended to augment creative talents to make your home or office more functional and beautiful, and train you to qualify for a variety of job opportunities including:
• Assisting customers in choosing interior materials from retail or wholesale stress.
• Working as a sales representative for wallpaper and fabric stores, as well as furniture stores.
• Assisting a professional designer in the implementation of interior design.
Course Requirements:
• Attend all classes in the Interior Decorating Curriculum.
• Successfully complete all mini-projects and course work.
• Present final project to the Interior Decorating Review Board.
• Successfully complete 16-hour internship.
Who should Attend:
• Those who are interested in utilizing their creative talents to make their own homes beautiful.
• Those who are interested in assisting customers in choosing interior materials from retail or

• Those who are interested in becoming a sales representative for wallpaper, fabric or furniture

Program Dates:
September 29, 2009 – April 6, 2010 (excluding holidays)
Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15-9 p.m.
on the AUM campus in the East room, 10th floor, Library Tower.
Internship Dates: March 6-20, 2010
Fee Information:
Participates have the option of paying for the entire program or using the payment plan.
Fee includes textbooks and required reading books.
Due at the time of registration $435
*registration fee is non-refundable after the first class meeting
Second payment due on or before November 2 - $680
Final payment due on or before February 1 - $680
Total Cost $1,795
