In 2008, colleagues of Dr. Phillip Gregorowicz, who taught Economics at Auburn Montgomery for twenty-eight years before he passed away, established the Phillip Gregorowicz Annual Scholarship in his memory.  The scholarship is awarded every fall to a deserving Economics major.  Dr. Gregorowicz’s widow, Jeanne Gregorowicz, pledged to continue the scholarship in 2011 and contributes to it year after year.

Dr. Gregorowicz devoted his life to education, and supported his students both in and out of the classroom.  He frequently attended athletic games and other events in which his students participated.  He challenged his students to set high goals for themselves and encouraged them to achieve their goals even if it would take a great deal of sacrifice.  Dr. Gregorowicz was also popular with Auburn Montgomery’s faculty and staff, and many regularly contribute to the scholarship in his memory.

Dr. Gregorowicz loved AUM and by continuing this scholarship in his memory, Mrs. Gregorowicz carries on her husband’s legacy of supporting Auburn Montgomery and ensures that his name and achievements will be remembered by the university for years to come.
