Dr. Faye Stone Baggiano, a two time graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery, has recently established a bequest to fund the Baggiano Family Endowed Scholarship.  The scholarship will be available to all students enrolled at Auburn Montgomery who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.

Dr. Faye Stone Baggiano graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in English, and again in 1981 with a master’s degree in Public Administration.  She also received a doctorate degree in Public Administration from the University of Alabama.  Her career extended over twenty years in the U.S. private and public healthcare sectors.  She retired from EDS as President of the Health Care Global Industry Group, a Fortune 100 Company.  Throughout her career, she was active at both the state and national levels in shaping public policy relating to the quality and delivery of healthcare.  Her portfolio includes service as a Presidential appointee and as Associate Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.   She also served in the cabinets of two Alabama governors as Commissioner of the Department of Human Resources and Commissioner of Alabama Medicaid concurrently.

“I credit AUM for a huge part of all my successes,” said Dr. Baggiano.  Through her generosity in establishing the Baggiano Family Scholarship, generations of Auburn Montgomery students will be able to achieve success as well.
