Hosting Chinese Class at ASU

Chinese Mandarin Class on ASU campus

The Office of East Asia Initiatives and the AUM Confucius Institute hosted a Mandarin Chinese class at Alabama State University, as part of the the University's International Week. Part of the AUM CI's mission is to bridge the cultures and languages for Chinese and English speaking people, so AUM CI and the Office of East Asia Initiatives were happy to accept the invitation to participate in ASU's "iWeek." Confucius Institute teachers Kerry Li and Rita Ye taught the students basic Chinese history, culture, and various Chinese paper cutting skills. At the end of the lecture, the students were able to make their very own "Double Happiness" to take home with them.
