Dr. David Bronner is chief executive officer of the Retirement Systems of Alabama, a public pension fund with assets in excess of $29 billion. He has been featured in Time, Governing magazine, The Institutional Investor, The Money Manager, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Forbes Magazine, and Pension & Investment Age for his investment strategies and financial market decisions.

William Canary is president and chief executive officer of the Business Council of Alabama. He serves as Alabama’s official liaison to the United States Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers. In 1989, President George H.W. Bush appointed him to serve in the White House as special assistant for intergovernmental affairs. Following his time at the White House, Canary was named chief of staff for the Republican National Committee. PowerPoint

Dr. Keivan Deravi is interim vice chancellor of academic affairs at Auburn University at Montgomery. His economic forecasts have been used by every administration over the last 18 years in developing the General Fund and Education Trust Fund budgets. He has been quoted extensively by the Wall Street Journal, London Financial Journal, and The New York Times among many others.

Todd Strange is mayor of the City of Montgomery. He is a longtime business and civic leader in the state, including serving as the chairman of the Montgomery County Commission, 
Montgomery’s Riverfront Development Committee and Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

William Taylor is president of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama. Prior to joining EDPA, Taylor was president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz U.S. International. He came to Alabama when MBUSI located in the state in 1993. He was a key figure in the start-up of the new plant, led production for five years and became president of the company in 1999.
