This presentation will describe how multiple engineering disciplines are involved in complex building designs. The relationship between engineers, architects and contractors will be discussed with particular focus on building design delivery across the United States and around the world. The discussion will consider design applications in various scenarios including seismic events and hurricanes/typhoons, as well as critical systems that must remain operational during the construction phase, along with elements concerning anti-terrorism/force protection, fire protection, and other life safety considerations.
There will also be a Math Club, Engineering Club and Computer Science club social gathering starting at 12:30pm.
****Refreshments will be served at 12:30pm****
