Famed poet Denise Duhamel to visit campus April 28

Denise Duhamel, a 2013 finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, will be in Montgomery for a poetry reading on April 28, 7:30 p.m., in AUM’s Goodwyn Hall 109. Presented the AUM Department of English and Philosophy in honor of National Poetry Month, the event is free and open to the public. 

Duhamel is the author of 12 poetry books and 11 chapbooks, including “Blowout,” "Ka-Ching,” and "Two and Two." More than 300 of her poems have appeared in poetry magazines like "American Poetry Review," and she was guest editor of "The Best American Poetry 2013.” A professor at Florida International University in Miami, she is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship.
