Auburn Montgomery will host its 12th annual Find a Friend at AUM pet adopt-a-thon on April 5, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in front of Moore Hall. Seven rescue organizations from across the state will bring cats and dogs of many breeds, ages and sizes in need of a forever home to the AUM campus.

Students in the university’s Nonprofit Leadership Alliance program, which trains and certifies future nonprofit managers, established the AUM pet adopt-a-thon in 2002. The event is now being organized by the AUM chapters of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the national pre-health professions honor society, and Beta Beta Beta, the national biology honor society. Historically held in the fall, the event will now be held annually in the spring.
