| Carolyn C. Golden Vice Chancellor for Advancement 334-244-3686 carolyn.golden@aum.edu Carolyn, a Kentucky native, made Montgomery her home 12 years ago. She has worked as a fundraiser for higher education and non-profits for nearly 20 years. She began her career with Auburn University in 1998 and established the university’s Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations in 1999. In 2004, she assumed the role of Senior Director of Regional Campaigns for the $500 million "It Begins at Auburn Campaign.” Under her leadership, the regional campaigns generated more than $28 million. In 2007, Carolyn became Vice Chancellor for Advancement at Auburn Montgomery, where she leads the university’s alumni and development efforts. Carolyn received her bachelor’s degree from University of Central Texas and a graduate degree in management from Faulkner University. She has also done post-graduate coursework at Auburn University.
When she’s not working, Carolyn enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and knitting. She is also a spinning enthusiast and is a certified instructor. |

Marilyn received her bachelor’s degree in business and M.B.A. from Auburn University at Montgomery and she feels she has come back home. Her previous positions included director of finance and director of public relations and financial development for Children’s Harbor and, most recently, senior director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Auburn University. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. Her primary responsibilities include developing financial resources for the university and keeping alumni and friends engaged with Auburn Montgomery. |

Martie joins the Office of Advancement from her alma mater, Huntingdon College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 1986. At Huntingdon, she served as director of Alumni Advancement and the Annual Fund. An avid tennis player and fan, Martie has served as the Local League Coordinator for the Montgomery USTA League for 17 years. Originally from Montgomery, she married her high school sweetheart, Mark, and after a short time in Huntsville, they have made their home in Montgomery since 1988. She and Mark have two daughters, Carter, a student at Auburn University and Laura, a student at Saint James School. They are active members of First United Methodist Church, and regularly volunteer their time with the youth ministry. |

David is a graduate of Auburn University and, prior to coming to AUM, served his alma mater for 10 years in its Office of Communications and Marketing. Prior to his tenure at Auburn, David worked for 10 years in public affairs at the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. He began his career as a sportswriter and sports editor at the now-defunct Alabama Journal, where he won awards for his writing from the Alabama Sports Writers Association and the Alabama Press Association. David and his wife, Lynn, have two sons, Jeremy and Brandon, and a grandson, Tyce. David is a voracious reader and an admitted sports nut. |

Pam has called Montgomery her home for almost 30 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Huntingdon College and has more than 25 years of office management and accounting experience in various industries. In those roles, she was worked with numerous clients to develop work plans and procedures, to address requirements and issues, and then execute plans for completion. Pam is an active member of St. Bede Catholic Church, where for many years she and her husband, Mike, have enjoyed working with the high school youth and music ministry programs. She is also chairman of the Alabama Distinguished Young Women Judges' Committee, where she gets to observe first-hand the difference a great education can make in youth today. Pam enjoys sewing, photography and arts. |

Prior to joining the Office of Advancement, she worked in Enrollment Services at Auburn University for three years where she coordinated a student recruitment organization. Heather and her husband Steven moved to Auburn in 2008 when Steven was named the first assistant for the AU softball team at Auburn University. Heather and Steven have three dogs and enjoy warm weather, cooking and watching college sporting events. |

Penny and her husband, Jimmy, have three children. Emily is 14, Elizabeth is 12 and Hunter is 10. They live in Clanton and are active members of First Baptist Church in Clanton. In her spare time, Penny enjoys quilting, sewing and spending time with family and friends. |

She is pursuing on a bachelor’s degree in secondary education/social science. She plans to pursue a Master’s degree in history so that she can teach at the high school and junior college levels. She is married to Roy Ryan, a teacher at Smiths Station High School’s 9th Grade campus. Emily is the daughter of Nelson Hall, a football coach at St. James High School, and Annette Hall, a retired Special Education teacher. She is a people-oriented person whose passions are history and teaching. |
