Admissions

Provisional Admission

Even if you do not fully meet all the requirements for admission to Auburn Montgomery, you still may find a home here through provisional admission.

You may be eligible for provisional admission if you are a first-time freshman and can answer yes to one of the following:

  • Do you have an ACT composite score of 18 or more (SAT score of 860) but your scores combined with your GPA do not meet the minimum?
  • Did you graduate from high school more than three years ago with a GPA of less than 2.0?
  • Did you complete a GED but lack the ACT scores required for regular admission?

If you are offered provisional admission, you will be required to sign a contract with the Office of Advising and Academic Enhancement to spell out the specific requirements you will need to meet to continue as an AUM student. The contract also will spell out the requirements for full admission.

So you've been admitted provisionally, this is what you need to do next.
