Exchange Programs

The AUM Study Abroad Exchange Program is designed to introduce AUM students to the importance of diverse cultures and academic environments. Students may pay AUM tuition and receive the Study Abroad scholarships. Students may also receive AUM credit hours from participation in a Study Abroad program. Mexico

LaTU Group

Mexico City, Mexico

Monterrey Institute of Technology

Program Overview: During summer, AUM students have an opportunity to take a 6-week Spanish language and culture program in Tecnológico de Monterrey at Mexico City, Mexico. In addition to regular Spanish classes, students will take an academic trip to the ancient city of Teotihuacan.

South Korea

Ulsan, South Korea

The University of Ulsan (UOU)

Ulsan International Program (UIP)

Program Overview: The main topic of the UIP is "The Tradition & Industrialization of Korea". UIP equips students with a broad understanding of other cultures and helps participants respect and accept people with different backgrounds. Since participants come from all over the world, students share a wide range of cultural interests, backgrounds and traditions.  

During 4 weeks, participants experience many different aspects of Korea such as sitting on the floor during meals and sleeping on the floor at night. The program includes a one-night stay at a Buddhist temple, and a four-day visit to Seoul, including a visit to the presidential place, the Asan hospital of the UOU medical school (arguably the largest in the world) and the observation tower near the North Korean border.

Ulsan International Program: Learn and Teach in Ulsan (LaTU)

Program Overview: Learn and Teach Ulsan, or LaTU, is a scholarship program sponsored by UOU. Students in the LaTU program are expected to teach English to UOU undergraduate students for 10 hours per week and spend one hour per week on outdoor activities with students. A one-week orientation is required prior to beginning the assignment.

Program Overview: DHU specializes in traditional Korean medicine education. If you are interested in Korean medicine (herbal medicine, cosmetic, skin care, etc. and Korean language and culture, DHU is a good choice for you.

Beijing Forbidden City

Hubei University of Economics

Program Overview: AUM offers a travel and learning experience to China during the summer. The purpose of this trip is to promote the understanding of Chinese culture, language, and society. Students will have an opportunity to visit fantastic cities, including Beijing (the capital of China) and Wuhan (the most populous city in Central China). During the trip, students will not only see gorgeous scenery, but also learn and experience the Chinese traditional and modern culture.

Japan

The University of Shiga Prefecture

The University of Shiga Prefecture (USP)

Program Overview: AUM and USP have developed a reciprocal student exchange program. Students will learn 1-2 semesters worth of Japanese instruction, including language, culture, and history. There will be several excursions, cultural events, and daily opportunities to mix, mingle, and study with local Japanese students.
