Freshman or Transfer Student Admission Checklist for International Students

The United States Department of Homeland Security and the policy governing international student admission at AUM require undergraduate applicants to submit the documents listed below as early as possible, preferably at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the term for which the student wishes to enroll:

• Completed online Auburn University at Montgomery Undergraduate Application for Admission.

• Official transcripts from all schools previously attended. Transcripts, if not in English, must be translated into English by an official translation service.

• Official foreign transcripts from all schools (and official English translations, if necessary) must be sent to:

  • Proof of English Proficiency: Please see Test Score Requirements for minimum English proficiency test scores and exemptions.
  • NOTE: And student who does not take the SAT or ACT will be required to take the AUM mathematics placement test. Any student who does take the SAT or ACT but does not score at least 510 on the SAT Mathematics section or 20 on the ACT Mathematics section will be required to take the AUM mathematics placement test upon arrival on campus.
  • Evidence in the form of a notarized or certified letter from a bank or other financial institution of sufficient financial resources to meet college expenses for the first year of study. If a sponsor’s account is used, a letter from the sponsor stating the intent to assist with the student’s educational expenses is also required. The current undergraduate cost for the academic year (two semesters) is $26,522, which includes tuition, housing, food, and books. Documentation should be submitted in English.
