Auburn University at Montgomery offers students support services ranging from tutoring services to counseling services. All student services are offered free of charge and are available to undergraduate and graduate students.
Advising: All students are required to seek the guidance of an academic advisor before registering for courses. Fully admitted students should be advised in the department of their major.
Central Advising: The Office of Central Advising provides academic advising to provisionally admitted students and undeclared majors that have not yet completed the AUM core curriculum.
School and Departmental Advising: School and departmental advising for declared majors varies by unit. Some departments will notify students of their academic advisors shortly after their admission to AUM. Students who are not notified of their advisor upon admission should call or go by the department of their major to be assigned an academic advisor.
Career Development Center: CDC promotes and supports career development of AUM students and interested alumni through career planning, placement, cooperative education, internships, and employment opportunities--full or part-time.
Center for Disability Services: CDS is responsible for providing accessibility and disability support services to AUM students, faculty, staff and visitors with disabilities.
Counseling Center: The Counseling Center services include individual counseling, group counseling, personal growth courses, workshops and education about mental health topics.
Instructional Support Lab: The Instructional Support Lab (ISL) provides resource materials and one-on-one tutorial assistance for AUM students enrolled in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Learning Center: The AUM Learning Center offers services to assist students in achieving their academic ambitions and goals.
Nursing Care Center: The Nursing Care Center provides primary care services by a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to faculty, staff and students. They also provide regularly scheduled health education programs, distribution of protective devices, and health education materials.
