Research at Auburn Montgomery

Auburn Montgomery is a metropolitan campus that blends the traditional view of the University as a community of scholars with the contemporary view of the University as an integral part of the surrounding community, region and state. AUM’s faculty and staff work to foster and exemplify excellence in education through instruction, research and service and to provide support for the functions of government, cultural enrichment through the arts and regional economic growth.

Research conducted at AUM pushes forward the personal and intellectual development of students and helps improve the quality of life for the surrounding community.

At Auburn Montgomery, the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Research Council:

    1. Encourages faculty and professional staff to participate in grant activity and sponsored programs and provide support for participation in professional meetings, publication and, in some cases, the purchase of specialized equipment (excluding computers and software) necessary for research;
    2. Provides financial support for faculty, undergraduate and graduate student research; and
    3. Enables and rewards excellence in research.
