The nursing program at Auburn Montgomery is a four-year course of study that leads to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Within the nursing courses, there are classroom, laboratory and clinical learning experiences. The clinical experiences are provided in a variety of health care agencies in and around Montgomery. Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate may apply to the Alabama Board of Nursing to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. The graduate is also prepared to pursue graduate study in nursing.
The mission of the School of Nursing is to foster and exemplify excellence in teaching, service, and research. The program is designed to prepare a professional nurse who provides holistic care using interactive and nursing processes with individuals, families, and communities in diverse environments.
