Bachelor of Science Programs (B.S.)
B Level Certificate
Purpose: Provide individuals seeking careers in education with the knowledge, competencies, ethical attitudes, skills, and credentials necessary for successful performance in the teaching profession.

Art Education-prepares teachers with specific skills for teaching art in grades preschool through 12.

Childhood Education-prepares teachers with specific skills for guiding the development of young children from infancy through the elementary school years, preschool through grade 6. This includes early childhood and elementary education.

Exercise Science and Sports Leadership-prepares instructors and administrators for non-school settings such as pre-physical therapy, corporate fitness programs, sports management, recreational coaching, professional arenas, and physical rehabilitation programs. Not a certification area.

Middle School Endorsement-prepares teachers who are meeting Childhood Education or Secondary Education requirements and wish to obtain an endorsement in Middle School Endorsement. The purpose of the endorsement is to prepare teachers with specific skills needed for teaching students in the middle grades 4-8.

Physical Education Teacher Education-prepares teachers with specific skills to work with grades preschool through 12.

Secondary Education-prepares teachers to teach in grade 6-12 in one of the following subjects: biology, chemistry, English language arts, general science, general social science, history, and mathematics.

Special Education-prepares teachers with the specific skills needed for teaching children, adolescents, and young adults who have been classified with a specific disability. Specific programs are Special Education with Endorsement in Early Childhood Education which serves children birth through 8 years; Collaborative Teacher, kindergarten through grade 6 and Collaborative Teacher, grades 6 through 12.
