Softball Head Coach Steiner-Wilcoxson named NAIA National Coach of the Year

ChrisWilcoxsonSoftballPlayer_blastWarhawks Head Softball Coach Chris Steiner-Wilcoxson has been selected the 2014 NAIA Softball National Coach of the Year. Steiner-Wilcoxson helped the Warhawks to a 44-7 record and the first national title in the program’s six-year history. Read more at

Political Film Series presents 'Attack on Leningrad' on July 14

AttackOnLeningradPoster_blastThe second film in the summer Political Film Series, "Attack on Leningrad," will be shown on Monday, July 14, at 7 p.m. in Goodwyn Hall 112. The showing is free and open to the public. Popcorn and soda are complimentary. The Political Film Series, made possible through a grant from the Ida Belle Young Special Projects Fund, seeks film diversity by incorporating a mix of film genres and short introductions to subjects and contexts, provided by AUM faculty. Go bowling with your colleagues at 'AUM On the Town' on July 19

The Office of Human Resources invites all faculty and staff to head out "On the Town" for some bowling fun at Brunswick Zone, 1661 Eastern Blvd., on Saturday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $10 per bowler and includes two hours of bowling and shoe rental. AUM to formalize agreement with Southern Union State Community College on July 23

On Wednesday, July 23, AUM will host a delegation from Southern Union State Community College for a formal signing ceremony to make official a new partnership that will foster a closer connection for SUSCC students who transfer to AUM, put in place a reverse transfer agreement, and make available dedicated scholarships for SUSCC students. This agreement reflects an overall commitment of AUM support to these students. The brief ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Taylor Center 230.

Warhawks men's tennis All-Americans Zinelabidine Jouini and Nicolas Pinones-Haltenhoff were recently selected to the Capital One Academic At-Large All-District team. Selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, the program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Sue McCarron
Conference and Campus Services is excited to introduce Sue McCarron as the Associate Director of Campus Services. McCarron is responsible for leading and growing the area of Conference Services. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University, majoring in marketing. She also owns a master's degree in management and has worked in a number of different industries, including health care, transportation and tennis, through which she has gained broad experience in marketing, management and development. McCarron is a certified tennis instructor and a member of the Montgomery Lions Club.
