Outreach announces reorganization, clients to benefit
Auburn University at Montgomery has long been a valuable resource for the River Region beyond the wonderful things that happen in the classroom. For more than four decades, Auburn Montgomery has worked hand-in-hand with people in countless organizations to enhance productivity and quality of life through training, consulting, and applied research. Six units, working together for the last decade under the umbrella of University Outreach, have trained tens of thousands of individuals, from age 5 to 85, and consulted with hundreds of private and public organizations throughout Alabama and beyond to make individuals and organizations more effective and efficient at what they do. Now, to even more effectively tap into the consulting and training expertise Outreach offers, Outreach is creating a new vision with a new structure that speaks more directly to clients’ needs.
"Outreach will continue to provide tailored, collaborative services to our unique customer base," said Dr. Katherine Jackson, Vice Chancellor for Outreach and Strategic Initiatives. "We’ll just be doing this in a way that may seem more logical and intuitive for prospective clients. Clients will be able to approach Auburn Montgomery Outreach, and we'll connect them with the experts that will develop the best solutions to meet their needs."
Auburn Montgomery Outreach helps public, private and nonprofit clients expand their professional knowledge and prepare for the challenges of the future through:
- Community Engagement - Outreach partners and connects the community to AUM through the Business Breakfast series, K-12 Youth Programs, University Strategic Initiatives, Lifelong Learning Institute, conferences, events, and recruitment and training of international students in the English as a Second Language Program.
- Organizational Consulting Solutions - Outreach offers solutions designed to cultivate organizational effectiveness and individual capabilities by improving performance, developing effective leaders, and providing guidance on complex issues.
- Technology Solutions - Outreach experts can provide strategic management, consulting, mentoring, and research in information technology.
- Training Solutions - Outreach utilizes a customized approach to training and delivers uniquely designed professional development and leadership programs to individuals, business, public organizations and nonprofit agencies.
