Responsibilities of the Faculty Senate

• The Faculty Senate is responsible for interpreting this constitution.
  
  
• It has the overall responsibility for preparation of ballots and management of the election of members of the Faculty Senate and Faculty Council.
  
  
• It is responsible for establishing and abolishing committees, for taking action on and disposing of committee reports, and for reporting to the committees and the Faculty Council. It will decide on policy matters pertinent to the operation of the Faculty Council.
  
  
• It is responsible for keeping records of its activities. Non-current records of the Faculty Council, the Faculty Senate and its committees shall be deposited in the University Archives, and shall be available for examination by any interested individual(s).
