Office of Advancement names 2013-14 Ambassadors

Auburn Montgomery’s Office of Advancement has selected 10 AUM students to serve as Advancement Ambassadors.

The students will serve as hosts and hostesses at Advancement activities that include community leaders, significant supporters of the university and other dignitaries. The students were selected through an extensive interview process and have demonstrated a commitment to community service.

"The 10 students chosen will represent AUM and our office at alumni and campaign activities." said Carolyn Golden, Vice Chancellor for Advancement. "Martie McEnerney, who oversees the program, has helped identify some of the best and brightest students at AUM, and we look forward to a great year."

The 2013-14 AUM Advancement Ambassadors are:


Britany Smith
Britany Smith
Smith is a 2010 graduate of Russell County High School. A justice and public safety (legal studies) major, Smith plans to graduate in 2014. She is involved with the Campus Activities Board, is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, and is an orientation leader. She is the daughter of Tonia and Thomas Smith of Phenix City.
   
Treashear Britt
Treashear Britt
Britt is a 2013 graduate of Munford High School. She is currently a freshman at AUM and plans to study pre-dentistry. She is the daughter of Arletha Britt and Warren Britt of Munford.
   
Shaquita Searcy
Shaquita Searcy
Searcy, a 2010 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, plans to graduate in 2015 with a major in marketing. She serves as President of AUM E.L.I.T.E., is active in SGA, is a Warhawk Recruiter and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Searcy is the daughter of Sandra and Wilbert Judge of Montgomery.
   
Kayla Wilkinson
Kayla Wilkinson
Wilkinson is a 2011 graduate of Fayetteville High School and is majoring in biology/pre-dental. She is a charter member of Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and works as a Resident Assistant. She was awarded the Barbara Jacoby Annual Scholarship by the AUM School of Sciences. She is the daughter of Becky Wilkinson and Sam Wilkinson of Sylacauga.
   
Ashley Payton
Ashley Payton
Payton is a 2013 graduate of Sylacauga High School. She is currently a freshman at AUM and plans to graduate in 2017 in speech language pathology. Payton is a recipient of the AUM Chancellor’s Scholarship. She is the daughter of Jamie and Chris Payton of Sylacauga.
   
Maranda Jackson
Maranda Jackson
Jackson, a 2011 graduate of Rehobeth High School, is serving a second term as an Advancement Ambassador. Jackson is currently a junior at AUM and plans to graduate in 2015 with a double major in business administration, and management and finance. She was a recipient of the Freshman Leader of the Year award at AUM and serves as a Warhawk Recruiter. She is also involved with Student Government Association and is President of Circle K International. She is the daughter of John and Deborah Jackson of Dothan.
   
Vicki Siler
Vicki Siler
Siler, a 2009 graduate of LAMP High School, is a senior and plans to graduate in 2014 with a degree in economics/international business. She is President of the Economics, Finance and International Business Club, is an intern in the Writing Across the Curriculum Office, and is a School of Business Ambassador. She is the daughter of SaRita Hartin and Stephen Siler of Montgomery.
   
Jordan Price
Jordan Price
Price, a 2012 graduate of Beauregard High School, is a recipient of the AUM Chancellor’s Scholarship. Price is a member of the University Honors program and served as Honors Assembly Secretary and head of the Honors Athletic Committee. He is the son of Rose and Mark Price of Opelika.
   
Jordan Ray
Jordan Ray
Ray, a 2012 graduate of Beauregard High School, plans to graduate in 2016 with a major in communications. He is a member of the University Honors program and has earned a place on the Dean’s List. He is the son of Debra and James Ray of Opelika.

Alex Trott
Trott is a 2011 graduate of Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School. Trott plans to graduate in 2015 with a major in fine arts (graphic design). He serves as President of the University Honors Program, works as a Resident Assistant, and was chosen by ODK as Sophomore Leader of the Year. He is the son of Mary and Stan Trott of Montgomery.
