Thank you for your interest in the Writing Across the Curriculum Director position at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM).

Accreditation requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) mandate that all universities develop a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).  AUM sought input from all constituencies across campus and overwhelmingly selected Writing Across the Curriculum as its QEP.  A preliminary WAC plan, entitled Writing for Success, has been developed and proposed by AUM as the University’s QEP.

The proposed QEP has been submitted to SACS in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the University’s reaffirmation of accreditation.   SACS representatives will review the proposed QEP and make recommendations to AUM.  The person selected as the WAC Director will have the responsibility of developing and directing the Writing for Success program based on SACS recommendations.
