AUM providing training for students to be prepared for emergencies
Auburn Montgomery is providing emergency preparedness training to equip students with information that can save their lives.
AUM’s Alabama Training Institute, in cooperation with the AUM Department of Public Safety, is presenting a series of free, two-hour classes over the next few months to students.
"These classes are vital to every AUM student because this training prepares students for a variety of dangers, from an on-sight shooter to oncoming storms," said SGA President Darius Pettway. "With this training, students have the opportunity to learn to react fittingly to whatever potentially harmful encounters we may experience and not be caught off guard. The 'this will never happen to me' mindset has surprised thousands of students who could have received proper training on how to react to possible dangers. Let’s take advantage of this training and learn simple steps that afford us the advantage in any circumstance."
Classes are free and registration is easy. Simply click here to sign up today!
