Curtiss represents Warhawk Nation, meets Aubie at College Colors Day

It was a day of firsts for Auburn Montgomery and the Warhawk Nation on Friday as Curtiss made his first trip to the Governor's Mansion to meet Gov. Robert Bentley on College Colors Day. Curtiss was joined by SGA President Darius Pettway, Chief of Staff Ryan Shubird and School of Sciences Senator Marie Reuter in representing the orange and black. It was also the first meeting between Curtiss and his Auburn cousin Aubie, proving that cats and birds can get along just fine.

Keep speed down, yield to pedestrians on campus roadways
Be sure to park in the proper spaces, too!
Every new semester brings new people and new excitement to campus. That also means increased traffic, both on campus roads and crossing them. The Office of Public Safety encourages everyone to exercise caution when driving on campus and to pay attention to pedestrian crossings and your speed. Vehicles MUST yield the right of way to pedestrians, and new signs are being placed to help drivers identify approaching pedestrian crosswalks. Also, Campus Police has noticed a number of vehicles parking illegally along curbs and in no parking zones in front of Moore Hall and by the Taylor Center when plenty of parking is available on the north side of campus near the Physical Education Complex and Clement Hall. Campus Police will closely monitor the speed of vehicles, watch crosswalks to ensure pedestrian safety, and enforce parking rules. Take your time, drive carefully, and let's all help make campus safer for everyone.
