Change announced in employee pay dates during the winter holidays
In an effort to reduce the amount of estimating of hours worked and the leave time taken (and the associated recovery) during university holidays, holiday pay schedules previously communicated are being modified. Pay dates will now be paid on original pay dates unless those dates fall on the weekend or a banking holiday.
Here are the pay date changes for 2012:
- Biweekly 24 pay period 11/04/2012 – 11/17/2012 will be paid 11/23/2012.
- Biweekly 26 pay period 12/02/2012 – 12/15/2012 will be paid 12/21/2012.
- Monthly 12 pay period 12/01/2012 - 12/31/2012 will be paid 12/31/2012.
- Semimonthly pay period 12/16/2012 – 12/31/2012 will be paid 12/31/2012.
When pay dates fall during a holiday, it has been our procedure to pay on the last working day prior to the holiday. The schedule above has been changed to reflect pay date on the normal pay date unless it is a bank holiday.
