Warhawks Unite!

2012 AUM Family Campaign underway

It’s time for the 2012 Auburn Montgomery Family Campaign, and we need your participation if we’re to reach our goal of 100 percent.

Each year, the Family Campaign asks Auburn Montgomery employees and retirees to show their support for their university by giving a gift to AUM. The campaign is measured by the percentage of participation, not by total gifts, and employees are urged to give what they can, even if the gift is small.

Last year, 85 percent of all Auburn Montgomery employees participated in the campaign. In 42 campus units or offices, the participation rate was 100 percent.

“Eighty-five percent participation is outstanding,” said Martie McEnerney, who leads the Family Campaign effort for the Office of Advancement. “But our university can do better. Our university deserves better.”

Hoping to add to that participation rate, this year’s campaign is built around the theme “Warhawks United: Reaching New Heights Together” to take advantage of the popularity of the university’s new nickname, Warhawks, and mascot, Curtiss the Warhawk. This year’s campaign co-chairs are Kellie Brescia, program associate in the Office of International Affairs; Bob Evans, professor in English; and Kimberly Johnson, associate professor in Management.

You should have already received your campaign packet through campus mail. If you have questions not covered in the materials in the packet, please contact McEnerney at advancement@aum.edu or ext. 3433.

Remember, no gift is too small! Auburn Montgomery deserves a united effort! So join us and give today!
