Harvest Moon Festival returns to AUM on Friday

Harvest Moon Festival logoGet ready to howl at the moon. Auburn Montgomery is hosting the Harvest Moon Festival on Friday, Nov. 11, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the field behind the Library Tower. The autumnal celebration will feature live music, arts and crafts, food vendors and a salute to our nation’s veterans. The event is free and open to the public.

“We wanted to do something that would involve the Montgomery community, as well as AUM,” said student Michelle Hutcherson, director of the Campus Activities Board. “This used to be a signature AUM event and people all over the Montgomery area would come out. We wanted to bring it back to its glory days.”

AUM student band The New Philly will entertain guests, and Mix 103 radio personality JT will broadcast live from the event. More than 15 food and merchandise vendors will sell their wares, including baked goods, jewelry, handcrafted pens, gift baskets and hair accessories.

Families are welcome and guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets and lawn chairs.
