American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provides research funding
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act signed by President Obama on Feb. 17 includes $21.5 billion in federal research and development.
Agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation and Department of Energy have received $10.4 billion, $3 billion and $1.6 billion, respectively, in stimulus funding. The government agencies have their own recovery Web sites where researchers can find the most up-to-date information about their selection process, application guidelines, etc. for projects.
Information can also be found on the Web sites of professional associations and other organizations.
