AUM faculty invited to Auburn campus for iTeach: Outside the Classroom March 13
The Instructional Multimedia Group, in conjunction with other Auburn University units, Apple and Adobe, will host a one-day conference focusing on technology and tools to help faculty extend their teaching efforts beyond the classroom.
"iTeach: Outside the Classroom" will be held Friday, March 13, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in New Student Center 2216. The registration deadline is March 4 at 4:45 p.m. Space is limited to tenured track faculty, instructors, adjuncts and doctoral candidates teaching courses.
Dr. Barry Adams, Apple education technology consultant, will be the featured speaker in the morning and at lunch. Presentations on copyright fair use, clickers, class casting and faculty use of podcasting, virtual worlds and web-based meetings will be included. Podcasting workshops for both Mac and PC users will be offered. Lunch will be provided, and several door prizes will be given away, including an Apple iPod Touch.
