Outreach accepting nominations, applications for 2013 Faculty Outreach Award and Outreach Grants
The Vice Chancellor for Outreach and Strategic Initiatives is pleased to announce the availability of funding for 2013 awards created to recognize and advance outstanding faculty research and other scholarly activity that positively impacts the community. The Office of University Outreach is opening the nomination period for the Auburn Montgomery Excellence in Faculty Outreach Award and application period for the Auburn Montgomery Outreach Grant awards. Nominations and applications will be accepted through the end of April.
The 2013 Auburn Montgomery Excellence in Faculty Outreach Award will be presented to one exceptional AUM faculty member in recognition of that individual’s distinguished outreach contributions. A $5,000 honorarium will be presented with the award. Nominations will be reviewed by a committee of Auburn Montgomery faculty and Outreach consultants to identify a worthy candidate to receive the award. All academic deans and department heads are encouraged to nominate faculty who meet the criteria and would be considered a good candidate for this award.
The 2013 Auburn Montgomery Outreach Grant is available to encourage Auburn Montgomery faculty and staff to develop and implement programs of outreach to people in the community. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of Auburn Montgomery faculty and Outreach consultants, and one or more grants may be awarded.
All nominations for the 2013 Outreach faculty award and applications for 2013 Outreach grants must be received no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30.
