Business Economics
The B.S.B.A. degree program in economics provides the analytical tools and practical skills necessary for successful careers in business, finance and government by offering a mix of theoretical and applied courses in economics and the functional areas of business decision making. The program includes a broad core of lower division courses that comprise the University Liberal Education Program and the Business Core curriculum that emphasizes a common body of knowledge underlying the successful practice of business administration. The program includes the upper level business core curriculum which develops the functional tools and skills required of business majors at Auburn University at Montgomery. In addition, courses in macroeconomic and microeconomic analysis initiate students to the analytical tools that significantly augment the program. Elective courses in economics and business permit the student to develop a program, emphasizing specific areas of concentration in human resource management, finance and banking, public economics, and international economics.
The program also prepares students for graduation and professional schools in business (the M.B.A), law, economics, international studies and related fields.
